John A. Bindernagel

Wildlife biologist, Dr. John A. Bindernagel, has taken Sasquatch study beyond debates over its existence.  Believing investigators have presented enough credible evidence, he insists scientists now join what he calls the “unfolding scientific discovery of Sasquatch as a species of North American ape.”

Based in British Columbia, Dr. Bindernagel brings unimpeachable academic credentials and scientific practice to the Sasquatch field.  He earned his PhD in Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his BSA, MS degrees from the University of Guelph.  Early work included international conservation projects, and surveying and managing wildlife.

A Curator for the BFRO, Bindernagel has done extensive fieldwork, collecting evidence for Bigfoot since 1963.  A down-to-earth professional, he explains his approach to studying Sasquatch is the same as for studying other wildlife.

His landmark books, “The Discovery of the Sasquatch” and “North America’s Great Ape: The Sasquatch – A Wildlife Biologist Looks at the Continent’s Most Misunderstood Large Mammal,” have garnered testimonials from top researchers and scientists like John Green, Dr. Jeff Meldrum, Dr. Jane Goodall, and Dr. Leila Hadj-Chikh.  His rational, scientific presentation of evidence and arguments are convincing and take the perspective that Sasquatch already has been discovered.  These are excellent scholarly additions to any squatcher’s library.

Dr. Bindernagel regularly posts on YouTube and is a frequent speaker at conferences.  He maintains a website http://sasquatchbiologist.org/   Check out his video on The Bigfoot Portal home page posted 9 June 2017, “Field Guide research video by John Bindernagel.”
